New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio greeted and thanked EMTs and paramedics dispatched by FEMA to assist the city with its coronavirus response.

Mayor de Blasio on Thursday spoke to reinforcements who came to New York from other states.

"This outpouring of support for New York - it's just so intense and it's only begun.

More help is coming.

So we're talking about hundreds of ambulances, hundreds of EMT's and paramedics are here already and more help is coming," De Blasio said during an outdoor news conference at Fort Totten in Queens.

The mayor and emergency workers stood apart during the remarks, following proper social distancing protocols.
