Nic Brown, a recently-recovered patient in Ohio, wrote a message of gratitude to the nurses and doctors who cared for him while he was in an intensive care unit (ICU) and on a ventilator.

When he was unable to communicate vocally while he was on a ventilator, Nic Brown asked nurses to write out a message expressing his gratitude to the people who cared for him on the window of his ICU at the Cleveland Clinic.

"The care I received has been phenomenal here...I really saw the love of God through these people," Brown said in a video interview shot on March 26.

A picture of the message was shared on the clinic's Twitter account, where it received at least 1,900 likes.

"This window has been the most impactful window in my life," the message read.

"I want you to know that I think you all are rockstars." The 38-year-old has since recovered from coronavirus and is now in isolation.
