Federal Judges Says No To States' Temporary Bans On Abortions

Federal judges in Alabama and Ohio rejected three states’ temporary bans on abortions.

Alabama federal judge Myron Thompson said the ban would unnecessarily hurt peoples’ access to abortions.

According to Business Insider, the states deemed the medical services “nonessential” during the coronavirus pandemic.

Attorney General Steve Marshall criticized the temporary order on abortions being blocked.

He said: “They are by no means exempt from the known risks of spreading the virus.”
