Comedic actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have released a coronavirus spoof referencing their 2004 cult classic zombie apocalypse film "Shaun of the Dead".

In the original film, the pair ignore advice not to go outdoors and end up in the Winchester pub where the pair and their gang of oddball friends and family are attacked by zombies.

In the short film posted on YouTube called 'The Plan', Pegg berates Frost saying "Do not go to the Winchester.

The pub is out," and reminding Frost "Remember what happened last time?" "If you can, stay at home, have a cup of tea and wait for this to all blow over".

He added "We're all in this together.

Don't be selfish, look after each other, give someone a call if you think they might be lonely," he says in the short film.

The film finishes with the captions "Don't Panic!

We can survive the apocalypse together.

Love Simon and Nick".
