New Trump Coronavirus Guidelines Recommend Avoiding Crowds of More Than 10 People President Donald Trump and members of the coronavirus task force spoke at length with the press on Monday afternoon.

Trump indicated that the threat of the virus for the American people was likely to last until at least "July, August, something like that." In addition to avoiding crowds of greater than 10 people, the new Trump administrations guidelines recommend home-schooling, as well as the avoidance of travel and restaurants.

Trump also responded to rumors of a national lockdown similar to what has occurred in other countries such as China and Italy.

He said his administration "may look at certain areas, certain hotspots as they call them," but "at this moment, no we're not." The Dow Jones continued its plunge as the press conference went on, closing at a more than 12 percent decline.

Trump was asked if the American economy was headed into a recession.
