The World Health Organization has asked public health officials to improve data-sharing in response to the novel coronavirus outbreak.
In the US, CDC and NIH officials say their counterparts in China had been proactive in sharing information on the virus genome.
However, they also implied the Chinese government has been reluctant to allow U.S. health experts to visit the country.
