'The Batman' Officially Adds Colin Farrell as Penguin.
The character is one of Batman's most recognizable villains.
Oswald Cobblepot was previously portrayed by Danny DeVito in 1992's 'Batman Returns.'.
Farrell's involvement in the movie has been confirmed by its director, Matt Reeves.
On Twitter, Reeves wrote "Wait — is that you, #Oz ?" along with a bat emoji.
Reeves' tweet also contains a GIF of Farrell shrugging.
Farrell's Penguin will face off against Robert Pattinson, who is portraying Batman for the first time.
The film's impressive cast also includes Paul Dano as The Riddler and Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman.
