Google Co-Founder Larry Page Announces He's Stepping Down--Sort Of

CNN reports Larry Page is stepping down as CEO of Google's parent company, Alphabet.

Page, along with Sergey Brin, co-founded search engine giant Google.

Sundar Pichai is the current CEO of Google and a longtime executive at the company.

He will take over as CEO of Alphabet in addition to his current role.

Page and Brin will continue to serve on Alphabet's board of directors.
