'Sesame Street' Introduces A Muppet Whose Mom Is Battling An Opioid Addiction

Sesame Workshop, the organization that produces the beloved children's show, has created a new series of videos.

"Sesame Street In Communities" features a 6-year-old muppet named Karli who is dealing with her mother's addiction.

According to Business Insider, Karli says in one of the videos "My mom needs help learning to take better care of herself".

Karli's mother goes to rehab to deal with her opioid addiction, while Karli stays with a foster family.
