Under the Lights Week 7, Pt. 2

Under the lights brought to you by rush personnel... up now we take it to orland who played host to west valley..

West valley looked to stay undefeated as the took on the trojans.

Orland coming off a loss to corning last week and they struggled a little.

Trailing 20-0 with seconds left in the half.

Gustavo carrillo scrambles down the line and tip toes his way for a first down.

But time's ticking.

Carrillo trying to keep the play alive but gets sacked by the eagles... then on the final play of the half, carrillo avoids another sack on a hailmary attempt.

He'll heave it!

But it goes right to the west valley defense... trojans really need a score.

Third quarter, going for it on fourth and four.

But no good eagles force the turnover on downs.... west valley handles business the rest of the way winning 27-7... orland will host oroville next week... while west valley moves to six-and-oh on the season.

They host anderson next... we head now to a 3 and one anderson high school--- the cubs hosted gridley tonight... they have the same record.... but who will improve tonight... we start with action in the first quarter.

Anderson quarterback gator wilson takes the snap and loffs it up to marquice crowell for a huge completion and crowell takes this one all the way to the house.

This wouldnt be the only time these two connect for a big play.

On the ensuing kick off gridleys arden anderson takes the kick off and weaves his way through anderson defenders for a nice return.

Gridley wouldnt be able to capatalize on that drive.

We move ahead to the second quarter wilson takes the snap and finds crowell once again for another huge pass play.

Crowell takes this one all the way for his second score of the game the cubs would go up 21 to 3 at this point.

The bulldogs wouldnt go down easy right before halftime gridleys shay carr picks off wilson and gets ran out of bounds but picks up a pretty nice return off the interception.

Gridley would have to settle for another field goal... anderson will go on to take this game 28 to 3... gridley will travel to sutter next week.... while anderson heads to west valley.... next we go to los molinos.... the bulldogs hosting modoc high los molinos looking for a big win against the braves on homecoming night but uh oh a slow start.

First drive, bulldogs can't hand it off well.

Refs rule it modoc ball in bulldog territory... and on that braves drive, james lloyd in the pocket connects with very much covered tristan brown-tibbetts for a big play through the air.

Nice grab.

And three plays later the braves run it in.

Cody nelson scores and shows us some love.

Modoc leads 7-0... next bulldogs drive, similar result.

Nick macias puts too much mustard on it and gets picked off by brown- tibbetts.

Two huge plays by the sophmore... luckily for the bulldogs they get a stop but on 4th down, hiram lamkins goes for the fake, and somehow squeezes his way down and through.

He'll go all the way to score tying it up but it'll get called back for holding.

Nothing going the bulldogs way... los molinos goes on to lose...14 to 6.

Modoc will host maxwell... while los molinos will head to weed... six games down... we have a few more to go--- including foothill and red bluff... the spartans looking for their first win... plus central valley --- they traveled to hamilton tonight... both teams looking for their second win... all of this when under the lights returns.

And we're going to let our sierra central cheerleaders of the week send us out... that is orland high school...
