Farmers Report Damaging Winds in Parts of New South Wales Experiencing Drought

Farmers experiencing drought in Australia’s New South Wales shared footage of dust storms sweeping through the area on August 8.

Jenny Trigger posted this video, shot in Bingara, on August 8.

“Well, this isn’t much fun!!

Bingara NSW,” Trigger wrote on Facebook.

According to the August 7 drought report from Australia’s Bureau of Meteorology, it had been “drier than average” across much of Australia, with July rainfall reports below average across the southern mainland.

Across New South Wales and southeastern Queensland, “rainfall deficiencies have generally persisted.” Much of the country has been in drought since 2017, the report said.
