Lee county coroner carolyn green identified the body found as glenda spivey.
Spivey had been missing since last wednesday.
The body was found off the trace, about a mile from tupelo high school and highway 6.
"a maintenance employee saw vehicle off in the woods.
Rangers responded about 7:30 this morning and found the vehicle and unfortunately there was a deceased person inside the vehicle."
An autopsy will be done at the state crime lab in pearl.
