Manafort Kept In Federal Custody Due To "Safety Concerns"

Reuters reports a U.S. Justice Department official said on Tuesday that convicted felon Paul Manafort will remain in federal custody due to “health and personal safety” concerns that would be present if he were to be transferred to a local facility in New York.

Manafort is currently serving a 7-1/2-year sentence for tax fraud, bank fraud and other charges that were found during Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.
