Airlines Up The Ante With Wi-Fi And In-Flight Entertainment Expansion

Good news for travelers... According to Digital Trends, better WiFi options during in-flight trips may be on the horizon.

This is thanks to major airline carriers taking note of customer requests to have better Wi-Fi experiences while in the air.

Delta recently announced that they will offer free Wi-Fi on their flights, as part of a test to hopefully provide free WiFi forever.

And although American Airlines is still charging $10 for customers to hop online during flights, this year they began offering free in-flight access to Apple Music for the streaming service subscribers.

American is also upping the ante by adding tablet holders and power outlets to each seat.

They're joining other air carriers with the goal of eventually removing in-flight entertainment systems, so that passengers’ route in-flight entertainment and WiFi through their own phones.
