Jussie Smollett Makes First Social Media Post in Months In his post, the actor shared a clip of screenwriter Tarrell Alvin McCraney at this year's Tony Awards.

That was the same day he claimed to have been the victim of a hate crime in Chicago.

Since then, he has faced major backlash for authorities claiming the attack was staged, Charges against him have been dropped, but he has since been cut from the series 'Empire.'

The city has also filed a lawsuit against him over money it spent during the investigation into his original claim.
