Why Jim Cramer Is Worried About the U.S. Government's Reaction to Apple

Apple CEO Tim Cook, when asked about China, said "currently the Chinese have not targeted Apple at all.

And I don't anticipate that happening, to be honest." "I'm hoping that doesn't happen.

And I don't anticipate it happening.

I know people think the iPhone is made in China," Cook said.

"The iPhone is assembled in China.

The truth is, the iPhone is made everywhere.

It's made everywhere.

And so a tariff on the iPhone would hurt all of those countries, but the one that would be hurt the most is this one," he continued.

Jim Cramer said that he's more closely watching the U.S.'s reaction to Apple, not the Chinese reaction.

"I am a little more, more worried about our government saying that Apple's got to bring those jobs back to the U.S. and I say that somewhat cynically.

Those jobs were never in the US.

And Apple's a worldwide company and they built where there's demand.

They have 2 million people who work for Apple in some way, shape or form in this country," said Cramer.
