Market Jumps On Fed's Hint It May Cut Interest Rates

US stocks soared on Tuesday, after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell suggested the central bank was open to the possibility cutting interest rates.

According to Business Insider, investors shrugged off ongoing, unresolved tensions with key trading partners China and Mexico.

With respect to the uncertain state of trade negotiations, Powell said, "We do not know how or when these issues will be resolved."
