According to a report by Reuters, on Tuesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani rejected talks with the United States, after President Donald Trump claimed that Iran would seek negotiations 'if and when they are ever ready.'

In recent weeks, the United States has tightened sanctions with the goal of pushing Iran to make concessions beyond the terms of its 2015 nuclear deal.
