Tornadoes, flash flooding pummel Southern Plains

A powerful storm system moving across the U.S. Southern Plains spawned tornaodes and triggered flash flooding as the region braces for more severe weather.

NATS: TORNADO CHASER After at least 19 tornadoes tore through Texas and Oklahoma late Monday... millions are now bracing for flash flooding.

NATS: THIS IS THE WORST I'VE EVER SEEN IT.

A powerful storm system has already begun unleashing heavy rain and hail with the possibility of more tornadoes Tuesday.

In Hominy, Oklahoma, several people had to be rescued from rising waters after torrential rains caused flash flooding.

NATS: RAIN Parts of Texas are also under a flash-flood warning.

NATS: TORNADOES This as residents clean up from damage caused by Monday's twisters that tore down trees and destroyed homes.

SOUNDBITE: COY HARMON, HOMEOWNER, SAYING: "Devastated...couldn't believe it left it a half hour and it was all there and you come back and it was completely demolished." No deaths or injuries were reported in Monday's tornaodes.
