James Gunn Admits That Disney Had Every Right To Fire Him

According to a report by Uproxx, in his first in-depth interview since being fired, and then subsequently re-hired, by Disney, James Gunn said that he blamed himself for the 'unintentional consequences of not being more compassionate in what I'm putting out there." In an interview with Deadline, Gunn reportedly took full responsibility for his comments, which included jokes about rape and the Holocaust, and said that β€œDisney totally had the right to fire me.

This wasn’t a free speech issue.
