White House Insists That China Wants A Trade Deal

According to the Automotive News, White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said on Wednesday that China has indicated that it wants to make a deal.

Stock markets almost immediately turned positive on the news after two days of sharp declines.

A notice posted to the Federal Register on Wednesday shows that the United States will raise tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports to 25 percent from 10 percent effective on Friday.
