Julian Assange Will Not Surrender Himself To Extradition

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange spoke via video link from prison to declare that he would not surrender to an extradition request by the United States, where he is charged with "conspiracy to commit computer intrusion".

On May 1, Assange was sentenced by a British court to 50 weeks in jail for skipping bail in 2012 when he sought refuge in Ecuador's London embassy, where he stayed for seven years.
