Is Cory Booker's Message Resonating With Voters?

Senator Cory Booker kicked off his presidential campaign in February with a message of love and unity, marketing himself as an inspirational leader that can help American find common ground.

But that message may not be enough to win the White House.

Politico reports that Booker is polling in the single digits and behind competition when it comes to campaign funding.

But Booker recently rebooted his campaign Booker with a โ€œJustice For Allโ€ two-week, national tour, which leans heavily on economic policy and social justice.

He's proposing a new income tax credit for the working class, rural infrastructure investment, a new voting rights plan, and restoring voting rights to ex-felons.

But some top Democrats believe that he's focused on the wrong things.

Their main objective is to beat President Trump.

Booker explains, โ€œWe have a choice in this election.

To make it about one guy and one election and just get rid of him?

I understand that call, but itโ€™s got to be about something bigger than that." He adds, โ€œWe Democrats in this room, it canโ€™t just be about beating Republicans, no.

This is a moral moment in our country where itโ€™s got to be about uniting Americans.โ€
