Trump approval drops after Mueller report release: poll

On the heels of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report release, the number of Americans who approve of President Donald Trump dropped by 3 percent to its lowest level of the year.

That's according to a Reuters Ipsos poll conducted Thursday afternoon to Friday morning.

It's the first national survey to measure the American public's response after the Justice Department released the highly-anticipated report that recounted 10 episodes in which Trump tried to interfere with the probe.

According to the poll, President Trump's approval stands at 37 percentโ€ฆ down from 40 percent in a poll conducted earlier this week.

The survey also found that 58% of Americans believe the president obstructed justice.

Mueller's report concluded that no one on the Trump campaign coordinated with Russians.

But among those who said they were familiar with the report, 70 percent said it had not changed their view of Trump or Russia's involvement in the U.S. presidential race.

And only 15 percent said they had learned something new.
