Healthcare Index Drags On S&P For Third Day

According to Reuters, the S&P 500 is trading slightly up on the day.

By the afternoon on April 18th, the S&P was up about 6-points for two-tenths of a percent in gains.

Eight of its top eleven sectors were trading higher, led by the industrial sector, which rose 1.2-percent.

The S&P is close to setting a new record all-time high, but the healthcare index has been on the decline throughout the short week.

The New York Stock Exchange will be closed for Good Friday.
