Economic Data From China Boosts MSCI's Global Stock Gauge

According to Reuters, MSCI's global gauge of stock rose due to positive economic data from China.

On April 17th, MSCI's all-country world stock index rose by three-tenths of a percent.

Data from China showed that the country's economy grew over 6-percent during the first quarter of 2019.

China's industrial output also had it's best month during March in five years, rising by 8.5-percent.

Retail sales in China also rose over 8-percent in March.

But the markets on Wall Street were trading flat on the day, which held MSCI's global equity gauge in check.
