BTS knew they wanted Halsey on their new single The 'Idol' hitmakers teamed up with the singer on their new single 'Boy With Luv'.

They have said that after first meeting her at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, they knew her voice would be perfect for the track.

RM (from BTS), in an interview for Apple Music's Beats 1 Radio And it seems the collaboration was indeed perfect, as they smashed two world records within hours of the song being released.

The music video gained the most views on YouTube of any music video in a 24 hour period with 74.6 million, and in less than two days, it became the fastest video to reach 100 million views.

Both records had previously been set by female K-pop group BLACKPINK, who had released their latest single 'Kill This Love' just days prior to BTS.
