(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION) Yo-yo Ma is known as one of the world's best classical cellists and on Saturday (April 13) he used his skills as an artist to highlight the cultural links between the U.S. and Mexico at a concert in a border town along the Rio Grande river.

Grammy Award-winner Ma told the crowd of fans and passers-by that "culture is stronger than politics." Ma was originally planning to play the concert on a bridge linking the two countries, but U.S. Customs and Border Protection did not authorize the event according to the director of art and culture for the Nuevo Laredo state government, Alfredo Peredo.
