Cuban President Says Country Faces 'Financial Persecution' From The US

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel wants Cuba to strengthen the country’s defenses and economy.

Diaz-Canel accused the Trump administration for their relationship with the U.S. the worst it has been in decades.

According to Reuters, he said the U.S. is engaging in an “asphyxiating financial persecution.” He said it “makes the import of goods and resources of primary necessity particularly difficult.” Under President Donald Trump, the U.S.
