U.S. Judge Temporarily Blocks Trump Administration From Sending Migrants Back

Reuters reports a U.S. judge on Monday temporarily blocked the Trump administration from sending asylum seekers back across the border to wait out cases in Mexico.

The order by U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg in San Francisco will go into effect on Friday and the injunction will apply across the country.

In January, the Trump administration began sending some migrants to wait for their U.S. court dates in Mexican border cities rather than in the U.S.
