Apple Music Has More US Subscribers Than Spotify

Apple Music has topped Spotify in at least one domain: paid US subscribers, says Business Insider.

Apple Music counted an estimated 28 million paid subscriptions in February, with Spotify just passing 26 million.

Spotify still has far more active users worldwide β€” and international subscribers.

This is due in part to Spotify's free, ad-supported tier.

Apple's main advantage is its base of iPhone users, for whom the Apple Music app is pre-installed.
