Veteran Actor Seymour Cassel Dead at 84 The Oscar nominee died following a battle with Alzheimer's disease .

He is best known for collaborations on films with directors Wes Anderson and John Cassavetes.

Cassel earned a best supporting actor nomination at the 41st Academy Awards for his role in Cassavetes' film, 'Faces.'

Cassel and Cassevetes also teamed up for the movies 'Minnie and Moskowitz,' and 'The Killing of a Chinese Bookie.'

Besides films, Cassel acted on many TV programs, including 'Tracey Takes On….'

A veteran of independent movies, Cassel also appeared in big budget flicks 'Dick Tracy' and 'Indecent Proposal.'
