DEBATS WINNING SECOND STAGE FOR WOMEN'S RACE STORY: Seven time Marathon Des Sables champion Rachid El Morabity and his younger brother Mohamed dominated the first two days of the event on Sunday (April 7) and Monday (April 8) with Dutchwoman Ragna Debats dominating the women's field.

On Monday, the younger El Morabity brother took home the honours with a time of two hours, 52 minutes and 30 seconds.

Rachid trailed by only six seconds to finish second and Abdelkader El Mouaziz was third - coming in over three minutes later.

Debats finished as the quickest woman, 10th fastest overall, with a time of three hours 14 minutes and 22 seconds, a full 44 minutes ahead of her competition.
