72 People Sickened By E. Coli Strain, No Source Found

Coli has sickened more than 70 people in five states.

Health officials are searching for the source, which they have not yet pinpointed.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Friday that 72 people have been reported infected with the strain of E.

Coli O103 and eight have been hospitalized.

Illnesses started between March 2 and March 29.

The CDC said in a statement, "CDC is not recommending that consumers avoid any particular food at this time.
