LendingTree Economist Anticipates Strong Jobs Report on Friday

When the March jobs report lands on Friday, LendingTree Chief Economist Tendayi Kapfidze told Cheddar he expects quite a different economic outlook than the disappointing February report provided.

"We should be getting somewhere around the 3-month, 6-month moving averages which was somewhere around 180,000,190,000 jobs," he said, adding that he doesn't give a lot of "creedence" to February's "strange" report because the government shutdown likely interfered on multiple fronts.

"Probably we will see that February number revised upward somewhat," Kapfidze said.
