(ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION) Multiple democratic presidential candidates took their campaigns to the nation's capital on Monday (April 1).

The 2020 contenders laid out their agenda at the "We the People" summit and took questions from the attendees.

2020 Presidential hopeful Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's remarks concluded the summit, where she spoke about climate control, health care, working class conditions, and being brave enough to "take on the battles nobody else is willing to take on...[because] that's what bravery looks like." Senator Bernie Sanders hit on some of the highlights of his 2020 campaign, elaborating on the importance of universal education and healthcare, as well as climate control, saying "these are not radical ideas, these are ideas we can achieve." "We are the wealthiest country in the history of the world, do not believe for a second that we can not create an economy that works well for all.

Do not believe that we can not make healthcare a right for all people, that we can not made higher education and child care affordable for all people," Sanders said.
