Wow Air Passengers Stranded at Newark Liberty Airport

Wow Air passengers who were due to travel from Newark to Reykjavik on Wednesday, March 27, were left stranded after the Icelandic budget carrier ceased operations.The airline announced the closure in a statement posted to its website on Thursday, leaving passengers stranded in Europe and the US.Derek Gumb, who was due to fly on flight WW104 from Newark Liberty International Airport to Reykjavik, said the airline offered passengers $12 food vouchers when the flight was canceled following a four-hour delay.Gumb said the airline also offered a hotel voucher after the flight was canceled but “that never came.” Credit: Derek Gumb via Storyful
