Boeing's Software Update For 737 MAX 8 Nearly Ready

Following two deadly crashes in five months involving the 737 MAX 8 aircraft, Boeing is offering its software update to airlines for free.

According to Business Insider, the Renton, Washington-based company is nearly finished with the update.

However, the Federal Aviation Administration must approve the update before it can be used in commercial flights.

An FAA representative says the agency expects to receive the update early this week.
