New Fire Breaks Out at Deer Park Chemical Plant

A new fire broke out at the Intercontinental Terminals Company (ITC) chemical plant in Deer Park, Texas, on March 22, sending a dark plume of smoke into the sky, local media reported.The Deer Park Office of Emergency Management issued a statement saying it was monitoring the “flare-up.”The blaze started just two days after a fire that burned at the plant for three days was extinguished on March 20.

The United States Chemical Safety Board said on March 21 that it would investigate that fire.
