Plane Catches Fire During Landing at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport

An Iran Air plane caught fire during its landing into Tehran’s Mehrabad airport on Tuesday, March 19.

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, the fire broke out after the airplane’s landing gear failed to open correctly and the plane was forced to land on its body.

The Fokker 100 was carrying 100 passengers at the time of the fire but no one was injured, reported Tasnim.

Mohammad Reza Motamedi, one of the passengers onboard, uploaded these videos after the plane safely landed.
