U.S. Senate Panel Schedules Hearing With Federal Aviation Administration

Reuters reports a U.S. Senate panel has planned a hearing for March 27 on aviation safety following two fatal Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft crashes.

The hearing, by the Senate Commerce subcommittee on aviation and space, will focus on federal oversight on commercial aviation and will include officials from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, National Transportation Safety Board, and Transportation Department.

Federal prosecutors are investigating the FAA’s certification of the Boeing 737 MAX.
