EPA Administrator Dismisses Efforts To Battle Climate Change

The nation’s top environmental official dismissed efforts to combat climate change as misguided, says HuffPost.

Environmental Protection Agency administrator Andrew Wheeler said “most of the threats from climate change are 50 to 75 years out.” Wheeler is a former coal industry lobbyist who has regularly downplayed the threat of climate change.

During his Senate confirmation hearing in January, Wheeler refused to call climate change a crisis.

He also admitted that he hadn't fully read a major federal climate change report co-authored by his own agency.
