Boeing 737 MAX 8 Aircraft Will Be Grounded In The U.S. For At Least 'Weeks'

U.S. lawmakers announced that Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 9 planes will remain grounded for “weeks” at a minimum.The announcement was made after a briefing with the acting head of the Federal Aviation Administration.

The planes will be grounded until a software upgrade is tested and installed in all of the planes, says Reuters.

FAA Administrator Dan Elwell told reporters that the software update will be ready within a couple of months.
