Trump Says He Would Veto Bill To End National Emergency On U.S.-Mexico Border

According to a report by Reuters, on Thursday, the US Senate was poised to pass a proposal to end President Donald Trump's declaration of a national emergency at the United States' border with Mexico.

In response, Trump reportedly said that he would reject the legislation should the bill make it passed the Republican-controlled US senate.

In an early morning tweet, sent while the Senate prepared to take up the measure later in the day, Trump wrote, “I am prepared to veto, if necessary."
