New Poll Shows Strong GOP Approval For Trump In Iowa But 40 Percent Want To See A Primary Challenger

All of the 2020 Democratic candidates have been making the rounds in Iowa, the first in the nation caucus.

??But a new poll from CNN, the Des Moines Register and Mediacom focused on the other side of the aisle in Iowa.

??It found that 81 percent of registered Republicans in the state approve of the way President Trump is handling his job.

??Two thirds of those polled….67 percent say they’ll definitely vote to re-elect.

??But what might not be such good news for the President, 40 percent say they hope Trump faces a primary challenger.

??Now, Trump does actually have one primary challenger so far...former Massachusetts Governor Bill Weld.

??The problem for Weld is that in the poll, more than 8 in 10 said they didn’t know enough about him to have an opinion.
