Why Economic Forecasters Have Been So Wildly Wrong About Jobs

A Business Insider analysis has found that the last three monthly forecasts for the number of jobs created each month haven't been this off in more than two and a half years.

December's job report was overly optimistic by 41,500 jobs, January created 146,000 fewer jobs than economists forecast, and February's report was off by 160,000 jobs.

The government shutdown appear and bad weather to have muddled the outlook.

In fact, the February storm affected more than 100 million people across the US.
