(SOUNDBITE) (English) FORMER WORLD NUMBER ONE ANDY MURRAY, ON HIS CHANCES OF PLAYING AT WIMBLEDON, SAYING: "To play singles at Wimbledon I mean, I'd say it'd be at less than 50 percent chance of playing.

Doubles?

Maybe, possibly.

One of the American doubles player Bob Bryan had the same operation and was competing after five and a half months in Australia because he played at the Australian Open but there's a vast difference between singles and doubles in terms of the physicality and the loads that you put through the body, so whether I'd be able to get back to playing singles in that period of time, it's really difficult for me to say." STORY: Andy Murray is looking to make a comeback to the tennis circuit and possibly play doubles at Wimbledon after he revealed he is now pain-free following hip resurfacing surgery in January this year.

Three-times Grand Slam champion Murray said before his first round exit at the Australian Open in January that the tournament could be his last as a professional due to severe hip pain, with the surgery aimed at improving his quality of life.

Murray, 31, said he put his chances at a return to the singles tournament at Wimbledon to less than 50 percent, but held out more hope for the doubles, citing American Bob Bryan's recovery after a similar procedure.

Murray also said he would give himself "seven or eight months" before taking a call on whether he would continue playing competitively.
