Netflix Cancels 'Jessica Jones' and 'The Punisher'

Netflix Cancels 'Jessica Jones' and 'The Punisher' It officially ends the partnership between the streaming giant and Marvel.

A third season of 'Jessica Jones' is still expected to premiere at a later date.

Netflix's Marvel TV universe began in 2015 with 'Daredevil.'

It then expanded into 'Luke Cage' and 'Iron Fist.'

The four heroes eventually teamed up for a solo season of 'The Defenders.'

Now with 'Jones' and 'Punisher,' all of the programs have been canceled.

Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb has since announced a new production deal with Hulu.

'Daredevil' and a few of other characters could still pop up sometime in the future.
