According to a report by Reuters, US Vice President Mike Pence chose a familiar White House figure, Marc Short, to serve as his new chief of staff.

Short reportedly served as a top legislative aide for President Donald Trump until he left in July.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said, "He has a strong relationship with the vice president.

Everybody feels like it will be a good fit.
