Trump Demands European Nations Take Back ISIS Fighters

President Trump posted a series of tweets about ISIS fighters on Saturday.

President Trump took to Twitter on Saturday and asked European allies to take back captured Islamic State fighters.

"The United States is asking Britain, France, Germany and other European allies to take back over 800 ISIS fighters that we captured in Syria and put them on trial," Trump wrote.

"The Caliphate is ready to fall." "The alternative is not a good one in that we will be forced to release them," Trump added.

"The U.S. does not want to watch as these ISIS fighters permeate Europe, which is where they are expected to go.

We do so much, and spend so much - Time for others to step up and do the job that they are so capable of doing.

We are pulling back after 100% Caliphate victory!" "After years of global effort to combat the group, the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic forces have cornered remaining militants in a village near the Iraqi border, under fire from all sides," NBC News reports.

During a recent Cabinet meeting, Trump described himself as the only person in US history who could "decimate" ISIS.ย ย Trump also tweetedย last month: "We have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency."ย  The Guardian notes: "Diplomats gathered at this weekend's Munich security conference, a major meeting of officials and policymakers, have repeatedly warned that the capture of Isis-held territory does not mean an end to the Isis ideological and terrorist threat."
